Weekend Update

Nick and Amanda are now engaged! Nick (a future professional pilot) literally swept her off her feet in an airplane ride and proposed on a KC runway strip on Saturday. The sky's the limit with those two! Congrats!

Later Saturday evening, both families and friends celebrated with a cookout at Nick's family home. Hotdogs, S'mores, Sweet Tea, log fire, good company and conversation! Thanks!

100 Years of Experience

Both Grandma Jo and Grandpa Merle turn 50 this year! The family celebrated with many good friends at the Bible church where Merle pastors. Thanks to all those who made the surprise possible!

Romelia and Amanda collected pictures from over the years and created a nice framed display. Thanks to all who sent cards and gifts!

The family shared the rest of the evening together @ Matt and Romy's home.

'Nannas!

Good morning, Sweetheart!
Maddie often eats banannas @ breakfast.

Jeremiah's 27th Birthday

Kenna and Jeremiah celebrated his birthday during Halloweekends @ Worlds of Fun in KC. It had haunted house-type attractions as well as all the great rides. They had lots of fun. (Thanks to Amanda for watching Maddie!)

The Detonator!

Is it bad luck to taunt Death?

Black Tiger

My Uncle Black Tiger passed away this morning. He was the friendliest grey tabby anyone could hope for. He was about 65 years old in cat years. My family buried him with other past pets out at the family farm.

Grandma Jo and Kaylin helped say goodbye.

Autumn Family Tradition

Every Fall, my family enjoys going to a pumpkin patch! They gather everything they need to decorate for the harvest season.

"Hey, this one's missing its stump."

Maddie sits to ponder her ideal pumpkin.

Sleeping Piggies.

Maddie was interested in the little piggies. Which one went "'weeeee, wee, wee, wee' all the way home?"

There's a nice horse.

"Catch me Mom."

Lately, we've had a nice Autumn view from our deck.

Jeremiah's cousin Liz stopped by on her way to Colorado.

"Excuse me Maddie, but I'm trying to eat breakfast here."

Maddie's Books

Jeremiah got a chuckle this morning when he noticed all of what Maddie has been reading lately.
